RATNEI (Regional AIDS Training Network): $100,000 over 2 years
To build the capacity of HIV/AIDS service providers through training in Health Management, Epidemiology and Surveillance, Treatment and Support, and strategies for fighting stigma and discrimination.

Nidan, Bihar and Grameen Development Service, Uttar Pradesh: $30,000 over 2 years
To accelerate delivery of HIV/AIDS prevention education among vulnerable groups in the informal sector- such as street vendors and garbage collectors in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. This intervention is expected to reach 40,000 people in two of India's most populous and underserved states.

MAMTA, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar: $181,510 over 2 years
Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) services within existing government supported health service delivery systems in 4 HIV high prevalence districts in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The goal is to develop a scalable model for pre-natal and ante-natal care that safeguards maternal-child health and reduces incidence of pediatric HIV/AIDS infections.

YRG Cares, Andhra Pradesh: $200,000 over 2 years
Expanding services to reach vulnerable groups in Andhra Pradesh. To reach highly vulnerable and at risk groups in the migration corridor between Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, YRG Cares has partnered with local hospitals in Nellore, Vijaywada and Prakasam districts of Andhra Pradesh. YRG Care will provide technical assistance to scale up capacity through training, advisory services and supervision of a range of services including counseling, testing and treatment services with a focus on PMTCT.

Breakthrough India: $145,000 over 2 years

To increase the capactiy of civil society organizations to address healthy sexuality, HIV/AIDS, human rights and violence faced by women through trainings, workshops and education material.

Community Health Education Society (CHES): $107,000 over 2 years

To provide shelter care for AIDS orphans while expanding community care for infected/affected children and to create livelihood options for care givers (mainly grandmothers and widows) through self-help groups.

Lepra India: $78,000 over 2 years

To address HIV/AIDS in vulnerable, at-risk communities including adolescents, women, female sex workers, as well as HIV affected and infected persons and children. The project targets the psycho-social and livelihoods needs of approximately 200,000 people while engaging government and private health providers.

Ideosync Media Combine: $72,000 over 18 months

To use media and community outreach to address the needs of migrant families from two underserved districts in Uttaranchal living and working in Delhi. The initiative engages these communities in discussions about safe migration, HIV prevention and related issues while building their capacity to access the public sphere through media.

COMPLETED GRANTS

Hriday/Shaan, All India: $150,000 over 1 year

To establish a national forum that actively mobilizes youth involvement in promoting and protecting good health. In collaboration with relevant Ministries, 20,000 youth took part in efforts to promote youth responsibility and leadership in combating AIDS, as well as other public health issues affecting their lives.
